Twelve values. Six anchored practices. Everyday stories that show what it looks like to keep Allah in mind — in the moments that actually shape who we become.
Small choices. Steady practice. Strong character.
Closer to Allah.
Tafakkur. Muraqabah. Sabr. Tawakkul. Words familiar from the khutbah — but harder to hold onto in the middle of a hard conversation, a rushed morning, or a decision no one else can make for you. This book meets you there, through stories, not lectures.
This is a short, practical book on emotional well-being from an Islamic perspective. Built around twelve core Islamic values — tafakkur (reflection), muraqabah (awareness of Allah), sabr (patience), tawakkul (trust in Allah), and eight others — it brings these ideas into ordinary Muslim life through engaging, fictional stories.
The narratives explore conversations, decisions, relationships, work, family life, mistakes, pressure, and healing — the everyday moments where character is actually formed. Rather than staying at the level of the lecture, the book asks: what does this value look like when you're the one living it?
Before writing began, a focus group of ten readers — including working professionals, physicians, and community members — reviewed the manuscript and shaped its final form.
Students. Professionals. Parents. Caregivers. Homemakers. Community volunteers. Anyone striving to live with greater intention — and to recognize, in the ordinary moments, the choices that shape who they are becoming.
